John Malek
Principal Legal Counsel, Health Affairs
John Malek, JD, RPh, HCCP, HCCE & 340 B Certified, joined the University of Central Florida in 2024, and he serves as the Principal Legal Counsel, Health Affairs. With a unique background and licensure that spans both law and pharmacy, John provides valuable counsel to advise the College on a comprehensive range of legal matters as well as strategic business initiatives.
Before joining UCF, John was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). In this role, he played a pivotal part in the organization’s mission of providing accessible healthcare services to uninsured and underinsured populations in the community.
John’s academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and a degree in Pharmacy from St. John’s University. His dual expertise allows him to offer well-rounded legal guidance enriched by an in-depth understanding of healthcare and pharmaceutical spheres.
